Luke MeessmannSince graduating with dual qualifications in Exercise Science and Exercise Rehabilitation (from the acclaimed University of Wollongong) in his native Australia, Luke has been helping people to take control of their bodies in the UK for over 10 years. With well over 15,000 hours of hands on experience behind him, Luke can be considered a true expert in the fields of Dynamic Pilates and Exercise Rehabilitation. Accustomed to working within multi-disciplinary allied health teams Luke ensures that his clients receive all the benefits of a congruent and collaborative approach with his fellow health professionals.

Luke is half German (not that you’d tell from his unmistakably antipodean accent) and he combines his inherent affinity for precision and process with true Aussie affability to ensure his clients get the best out of themselves and have a good time doing so! Whatever your goal, Luke will guide you safely and swiftly to achieve it.

Peter Clerkin

Peter ClerkinPeter embarked on his journey as a Pilates instructor after completing a degree in Sport & Exercise Science at Edinburgh Napier University. He went on to gain a specialist Pilates qualification and built up a loyal clientele as a  successful fitness instructor and Personal Trainer, while also coaching football and basketball teams. In a few years he relocated to Seattle, USA to teach Pilates, Spin, TRX, Kettlebell and high intensity interval classes.

Peter is a keen sportsman having completed the 2012 Belfast marathon as well as a number of triathlons, half marathons and 10k runs. Combining his passion for endurance events and his love of Pilates, Peter delivers both a knowledgeable and personal approach with each of his clients, packed with energy, enthusiasm and expertise.

Paul Brookland-WilliamsA fully certified Pilates instructor and personal trainer, Paul holds a senior position at the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI), the centre of excellence for Pilates in London, bringing a wealth of experience to London City Pilates

Having recently completed a degree in Physiotherapy, Paul has a fully integrated approach to Pilates specialising in injury treatment and prevention,  alongside alignment and fitness. With over 10 years experience as a Pilates teacher, he works closely with clients to ensure that each class is personally tailored to individual abilities.

 Prior to life as a Pilates teacher, Paul spent 14 years performing professionally in the theatre. A trained dancer, he enjoyed a successful career onstage, starring in hit shows including Starlight Express.

Gavin EiversGavin graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in sports studies in 2004. Since then he has worked in some of the finest gyms in London, Australia and New Zealand. He has a wealth of experience in - and a passion for - strength and conditioning, corrective exercise and healthy lifestyle management.

In the first four years of his personal training career Gavin’s primary interest was performance enhancement training (strength & conditioning, functional strength and power). He spent two years in Australia as a corrective exercise specialist where he practised and lectured on pain management and healthy lifestyle management. After returning to London he qualified as a Pilates Instructor. He has spent the past two years honing his skills and is now recognised as a specialist in dynamic Pilates reformer training.

Gavin has the ideal experience and training to help you to achieve your goals, be they aesthetic improvement, performance enhancement or corrective exercise and rehabilitation.

Sarah Woodhouse

Sarah WoodhouseIntent on learning from the best, Sarah sought her professional training from some of the most highly respected international teachers in the field including one of Pilates original teachers Ron Fletcher. She has completed two comprehensive training programmes in Pilates, which include the entire range of Pilates equipment and matwork. She is also a certified personal trainer, weight management consultant, swissball and bosu trainer.

Establishing her own Pilates, Health and Fitness studio 'The Studio Sai Kung' in Hong Kong for nine years enabled her to gather a wealth of teaching experience from beginner to advanced students, professional athletes - in group class and private teaching settings.

Since 2007 she has a Faculty member for Fletcher Pilates Inc, which has given her the opportunity to train new teachers in Pilates and provide continuing education to qualified teachers. In this role she has taught at conferences and in teacher training programmes internationally in Hong Kong, Singapore, USA, London, Tokyo and Australia.

In 2010, on moving to Melbourne, she established another practice, which again provided her with a rich and varied experience, from local private rehabilitation clients, community centre classes and tailored programmes for individual companies, to comprehensive teacher training, continuing education and mentoring programmes for Pilates teachers throughout Australia.

From her own experience and the many years of teaching she has come to place great importance on helping clients understand why they are in pain and educating them to use their bodies in ways that alleviate it and prevent re-injury.

Sarah equally loves the fitness aspect of Pilates, helping clients to find their full movement potential and pushing fit students to find the detail in the work that makes the difference between a workout … and a really tough workout.

Diane Purton

Pilates Instructor / Personal Trainer

Diane PurtonDiane is a personal trainer, Pilates instructor and a sports therapist with a passion for triathlon.

After several years of practicing Pilates mat work and using studio equipment Diane qualified as a comprehensive instructor with Balanced Body University, London.

Diane's belief is that Pilates practice can benefit everyone - from the dedicated athlete and sports enthusiast to the new mum. She is happy to work with a wide range of clientele to improve performance, posture and body awareness.

Diane has a lot of experience of working in with 1:1, specifically using the reformer and small equipment.

Her personal achievements include racing triathlon internationally for the team GB age group squad on several occasions' and competing in marathons as well as Ironman races.

Luke BowenBritish born Luke started his fitness career at the prestigious Champneys health spa, training and teaching fitness classes to all ages and abilities.

Luke is an experienced Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor having completed his comprehensive mat work and reformer Pilates training with STOTT Pilates. Luke believes in making exercise and enjoyable. His motto is “Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy”.

In his spare time Luke likes to spend time in Berlin, where he enjoys the city’s art and music scene. He is also a keen runner, and takes part in weekly 5 km park run events. At present time, Luke has a personal best of 18 minutes which he is striving to beat.

Judit Kotai

Judit KotaiJudit’s love of pilates started six years ago when she recognised the benefits of the exercise system in the changes she experienced in her own body and mind.

Soon after she completed a reformer, cadillac and mat Pilates course with the Balanced Body University and has been teaching in London ever since. She has also undertaken a pre- and postnatal Pilates training.

Today, Judit loves helping people discover the benefits of Pilates, regardless of their shape, age or fitness level.  Judit’s classes aim to create a joyful and relaxed experience, while giving clients the motivation to work hard and get the most out of the sessions.
